About the Savage Rascal 22 Long

The Savage Rascal Rifle 22 LR Purple RH is the Rascal series micro-rimfire that brings full-size rifle ergonomics to youth shooters and small-statured adults, pairing a lightweight 2.71 lb fixed-stock platform with a 16.13" sporter barrel and a 1:16" twist to deliver consistent 22 Long Rifle accuracy and handling. You cock the bolt by lifting it, can safely unload without pulling the trigger, and engage the thumb manual safety for a controlled range or training environment, making this bolt-action rifle an excellent choice for entry-level marksmanship, small-game hunting, and coaching new shooters. Built with a blued carbon steel receiver and barrel finished in blued/black and a purple synthetic stock, the Rascal includes Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger and adjustable peep sights to teach trigger control and sight alignment while the target-crowned muzzle and feed ramp promote reliable chambering and clean follow-through. Right-hand configuration, single-round capacity, and compact 30.63" overall length keep weight and feel manageable for youth or stealthy trail carries, and its Canadian origin and required FFL transfer are noted for compliance-conscious buyers. If you want a safe, accurate, easy-to-use micro-rimfire that mirrors adult rifle features for training or light hunting, this Savage Rascal checks those boxes.
