About this product

The Savage Rascal .22 LR bolt-action youth rifle brings a lot of capability to a lightweight, eye-catching package, built in Savage's Youth series for beginners and small-stature shooters who want a serious shooting experience; with a 16.125" blued barrel featuring a target crown and a 1:16" twist it delivers consistent .22 LR accuracy for plinking, basic marksmanship training, and field use, while the AccuTrigger offers a crisp, adjustable pull that helps new shooters learn proper trigger control without a heavy break. This sporter configuration pairs a pink synthetic stock with a short 11.25" length of pull and a compact overall length around 36", making rifle handling and carry easier for youths and smaller adults, and the 2.71 lb weight keeps it comfortable on hikes or at the range. The bolt action and manual safety are simple and reliable, the blued carbon steel receiver and barrel are durable, adjustable sights and swivel studs support sighting upgrades and sling attachment, and the single-shot capacity encourages safe, deliberate shooting drills; note that this is a firearm requiring an FFL transfer, sold under Savage's Rascal youth-focused lineup for training and recreational shooting.
