Ruger GP100 Wiley Clapp II 357 Mag 3" 7rd Stainless Revolver

This GP100 Wiley Clapp II puts seven rounds of 357 Magnum in a 3" satin stainless steel revolver. The Wiley Clapp setup is built around carry and defensive shooting: a tritium front sight you can find in dim light, a low profile Novak LoMount rear that will not snag, and cushioned rubber grips with hardwood inserts that tame magnum recoil without being bulky. It also handles 38 Special for practice and lighter loads.

The GP100 frame is Ruger's heavy duty double action design. The triple locking cylinder locks into the frame at the front, rear and bottom for solid alignment shot after shot, and the transfer bar mechanism guards against accidental discharge. The grip frame accepts a wide range of aftermarket grips, and the integrated subassemblies come apart for cleaning without special tools. At about 36 ounces, the steel frame has enough weight to keep a 3" magnum controllable while still riding well on the belt. Seven rounds instead of the usual six gives a real edge in a carry revolver of this size.
