Rossi R95 Trapper 45 Colt 16.5" 8rd Rifle

The Rossi R95 Trapper in 45 Colt is a short, handy lever action rifle chambered for the old cartridge that rode in Colt revolvers on the frontier. The 16.5" barrel makes it quick to shoulder and easy to carry, and the tube magazine holds 8 rounds. Paired with a 45 Colt revolver, it lets one box of ammo feed both guns.

The metal is black oxide over alloy steel and the stock and forend are hardwood. Sights are a drift adjustable front and an adjustable buckhorn rear, the traditional open sights that come up fast on game or on a steel plate. A crossbolt safety sits in the receiver, and the R95 action runs smoothly with a large loading gate. Heavy lead 45 Colt loads have plenty of thump for deer and hogs at woods ranges, while mild cowboy loads make it pleasant to shoot all afternoon. It fits right in at a cowboy action match and earns a spot as a ranch or cabin rifle.
