Heritage 92 45 Colt 20" 10rd Rifle

The Heritage 92 is a modern build of the 1892 lever gun, and this version pairs it with 45 Colt, the cartridge that defined the Old West. A 20" round barrel gives the big, slow bullet a little more velocity than a revolver and puts the rifle at about 37 inches overall. The tube magazine holds 10 rounds. The receiver and barrel are alloy steel finished in polished black, with a straight grip hardwood stock and matching forend.

Up front is a drift adjustable blade, and the rear is an adjustable buckhorn, the same sight picture shooters have used on lever guns for over a century. A thumb safety on the receiver gives an extra layer of control. At about 6.2 pounds it carries well and points quickly. 45 Colt hits hard at woods ranges, so this rifle works for deer and hogs inside 100 yards, for cowboy action shooting, or as a companion to a single action revolver in the same caliber. It's a fun rifle to run at the range and a practical one around the property.
