Rock Island Armory AL22 22 WMR 4" 8rd Revolver

The AL22M is Rock Island Armory's 22 Magnum version of its AL series revolver, built on a medium steel frame. It holds 8 rounds of 22 WMR in the cylinder and fires in double action or single action, so you can thumb the hammer back for a light, careful shot or just pull through. The 4" barrel sits in a shroud and gives a good sight radius for the size. The sights pair a fixed ramp front with an adjustable rear, so you can zero it to the load you shoot.

The finish is blued steel with finger grooved black rubber grips that soak up what little recoil the 22 Magnum makes. The cylinder swings out on a crane for loading and unloading, and a drop safety is built into the lockwork. With eight shots and a cartridge that hits noticeably harder than 22 LR, it works as a trail gun, a pest control revolver, or a low recoil trainer for anyone stepping up to a centerfire wheel gun later.
