About this product
The Rock Ultra FS sits at the top of Rock Island Armory's Rock series, a traditional 70 series style 1911 with the upgrades most people add later already done. It is chambered in 45 ACP with an 8 round magazine and a 5" button rifled barrel supported by a full length guide rod. The sights are a high visibility fiber optic front and a low profile adjustable rear, so it is quick to pick up and easy to zero for your load.
The hammer and trigger are skeletonized and the trigger has an adjustable overtravel stop. An ambidextrous safety suits either hand, and the beavertail frame lets you ride the gun high for recoil control. The slide is serrated, the frame and slide are steel in a black parkerized finish, and black and gray G10 grips lock in your hand. It weighs about 40 oz empty. For a full size 45 that is ready for the range, a match, or the nightstand without a trip to the gunsmith, the Rock Ultra FS covers it. One magazine is included.
