Pietta Alloy 3.5" 6rd All Matte Revolver

This is the plain version of Pietta's Alloy revolver, and plain is the point. Everything on it wears the same matte black finish, with no brass accents to catch light or need polishing. What you get is a six shot revolver with a 3.5" barrel and nothing hanging off it that will not survive being carried in a truck box or a saddle bag for a season.

The 3.5" barrel is short for a traditional pattern revolver. Most of that market lives at 4.75" and up, which balances beautifully on a bench but is a lot of gun to move around all day. Cut back to 3.5", the revolver clears leather faster and rides closer to the body. Grips are black and checkered rather than smooth wood, so the gun stays put in the hand under recoil and in wet weather. The matte finish does not reflect and does not show wear the way a polished blue does, which is what you want on a gun that gets handled rather than displayed. Pietta has been building revolvers in this pattern since 1963.
