About this product
The Pietta Great Western II Red River is a 45 Colt single action with a 4.75" barrel, a six round cylinder and engraved Ultra Ivory grips. The light, engraved grips give it the look of a cattle drive era sidearm, which fits the name.
It is built on the Great Western II, Pietta's 1873 pattern single action for EMF, with an exposed hammer that is cocked by hand for each shot. The 4.75" barrel is the traditional belt gun length, quick out of the holster and well balanced in the hand. Chambered in 45 Colt, the cartridge the 1873 was designed around, it is equally suited to cowboy action stages and to a collection of western revolvers.
