OA Defense 2311 Full Size 9mm 5" 17rd Pistol

OA Defense builds the 2311 as a double stack 1911 meant for duty work rather than a display case. The full size version runs a 5" stainless barrel in a black steel slide over an aluminum frame, which keeps the carry weight below an all steel gun while leaving enough mass in the hand to settle the sights between shots. The frame carries a Picatinny rail for a light, the controls are ambidextrous, and the grip is polymer wrapped around the double stack magazine well.

The slide is serrated front and rear and cut for a red dot. Two 17rd Checkmate magazines come with the pistol. A 5" slide gives the longest sight track in the 2311 family, and that shows up as steadier hits at distance and a little more forgiveness when the shooter is moving. The single action trigger is the reason people buy a 2311 in the first place: a short clean break and a fast reset are worth more under pressure than any other feature on the gun. A stainless barrel handles the round counts a working pistol sees, and the aluminum frame keeps the whole package lighter than a steel 2011 without changing the way it shoots.
