About this product
The MVP Scout follows Col. Jeff Cooper's scout rifle idea: a short, quick bolt gun you can run with iron sights or a forward mounted optic. It is chambered in 7.62 NATO and 308 Win with a 16.25" medium bull barrel. The barrel is threaded and wears a removable A2 style flash suppressor, and a thread cap is provided for when you take it off. Mossberg's magazine well accepts both M1A/M14 and LR308/SR25 pattern magazines, and a 10rd magazine is included.
An extended top Picatinny rail runs forward over the barrel with two side rails, and the sights are a fiber optic front paired with a rail mounted ghost ring rear. The LBA trigger is user adjustable, the bolt handle is oversized and the black synthetic stock is pillar bedded with a stippled texture. Metal is matte blued with a manual thumb safety. A sling and gun lock come in the box. It is a handy choice for brush hunting, ranch work and carbine style shooting, where a long heavy precision rifle would just get in the way.
