Maxim Defense MD15 L 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd FDE Rifle

The Maxim Defense MD15 L is the company's take on a standard AR-15 patrol rifle, built for the demand from law enforcement officers for a rifle that is reliable and accurate. This one wears an FDE receiver set and handguard with black Magpul furniture. It is chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 16" fluted barrel, 1:7 twist, threaded 1/2-28 and capped with an A2 flash hider. The barrel is fully floated inside Maxim's Slimline handguard, which gives a monolithic feel to the upper and takes M-LOK accessories.

Furniture is a Magpul SL-K stock and Magpul grip, with Magpul MBUS front and rear sights so you have irons from day one. The Blackout Defense flat trigger breaks at about 3 lbs, and a Radian charging handle runs the action. It uses a standard carbine buffer system and takes any STANAG pattern magazine, and comes with a Lancer 30 round magazine. Weight is about 6.4 lbs with a 33" overall length, so it handles light. Maxim optimized the MD15 around M855 ball ammunition, and everything disassembles with standard tools. A clean, light AR for duty, training or the house.
