Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak 6.5 Creedmoor 22" 4rd Rifle

The Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak is a featherweight 84M bolt action built for hunters who climb for their game. Kimber wraps the action in an H-S Precision stock of fiberglass, carbon fiber and Kevlar with an aluminum bedding block that runs nearly the full length of the stock, so the action sits on a solid foundation without the weight of a heavy chassis. The stock is drizzle painted for a better grip, has a 1 inch recoil pad and a rear bag cutout, and the rifle weighs under six pounds.

The 22 inch stainless match grade barrel is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 1:8 twist and threaded 7/16-28 at the muzzle. A muzzle brake comes installed, and a 5/8-24 thread adapter is included so the rifle is ready for a suppressor. The action uses a Mauser claw extractor, a three position Model 70 style safety, a fluted bolt body and a hollow bolt knob to trim weight. The trigger is adjustable and set at 3.5 to 4 pounds. Capacity is 4 rounds in the internal magazine, and a rifle sling and case are part of the package.
