Kimber 2K11 Comp 9mm 5" 20rd Stainless Pistol

The 2K11 Comp is Kimber's full size double stack 1911 with a compensator built into the front of the slide and barrel. Nothing bolts on and nothing threads on, so overall length matches a standard 5" gun and there is no comp to work loose halfway through a match. What the shooter feels is less muzzle rise and a quicker return to the target, and what the shooter avoids is the extra maintenance that comes with a threaded on device.

Matte stainless steel runs through the slide and the frame. The slide is lightened, serrated, cut for an optic, and fitted with an adjustable rear sight, so the pistol can be zeroed on irons and then run with a dot on top of them. Grips are Kimber's carbon fiber infused molding, which keeps the distance around a double stack frame reasonable for average hands. Three magazines come in the box, one 17rd and two 20rd, and the shorter one is the magazine to use if the gun ever rides in a holster. Kimber assembles these one at a time, and at this level of the market that hand fitting is what separates a 2011 pattern pistol that runs from one that needs a gunsmith inside the first thousand rounds.
