About the KGM CORE-556 5.56mm Direct
KGM built the CORE-556 around the rifle almost everybody already owns. It is intended for AR-15 and M4 style rifles, carbines, and pistols chambered in 5.56 NATO or 223 Remington, and it mounts by direct thread onto a 1/2-28 muzzle with no adapter or muzzle device in the way.
The body is fully welded hardened stainless steel. That means a sealed can with nothing to index, nothing to torque back together, and nothing to shake loose during a long string of fire. At 4.75 inches long, 1.75 inches across and 13 oz, it sits in the short and stout corner of the 5.56 market, which is the trade a lot of shooters make when they want the can to stay out of the way on a carbine instead of adding most of a foot to the nose. Black finish.
