KelTec SU16A 5.56 NATO 18.5" 10rd Rifle

The KelTec SU16A is where the SU16 line started: a gas piston 5.56 NATO sport utility rifle with an 18.5 inch barrel, chrome lined bore and chamber, and a 10 round capacity. It accepts standard AR-15 magazines, and the stock has built in storage for two spare 10 round magazines.

The forend covers the barrel and folds down to form a bipod for steadier shooting from a bench, a fence post or the ground. Adjustable iron sights come standard, and a Picatinny rail on top of the receiver takes a scope or red dot. The stock and trigger mechanism fold forward for safer storage and easier carry. Apart from the barrel and operating components, the rifle is made of high impact reinforced polymer, so it weighs 5 pounds unloaded despite the longer barrel. It is a simple, light, go anywhere rifle for the ranch, the truck or a first 5.56, and the gas piston keeps the action clean between cleanings.
