Howa M1500 Fence Line Mini 300 BLK 16.25" 5rd Scorched Earth Rifle

The Fence Line series is built on the Howa 1500 barreled action, a design that has been coming out of Howa Machinery in Japan since 1979 and has quietly ended up under a lot of other brand names over the years. This is the Mini Action, a receiver shortened to match short cartridges rather than a standard action with the magazine box filled in, which cuts weight and shortens bolt travel. In 300 AAC Blackout behind a 16.25" barrel, it is about as compact as a centerfire bolt gun gets before you start giving something up.

The barrel is hammer forged and threaded at the muzzle, which is the entire point of a 300 BLK bolt gun. Run subsonic loads through a can and there is no gas system cycling to add noise, so the rifle is about as quiet as a centerfire gets. Howa's HACT two stage trigger comes standard, the bolt throw is 90 degrees with dual locking lugs and a spring loaded M16 pattern extractor, and there is a three position safety at the rear. The detachable magazine holds five rounds and the receiver is drilled and tapped for bases. Metal work is finished in burnt bronze and the synthetic stock carries a scorched earth camo pattern. Howa guarantees the action to shoot one inch or better at 100 yards with match ammunition.
