Henry H1 Tracker Carbine 22 WMR 16.5" 10rd Large Loop Rifle

Henry aimed the H1 Tracker Carbine straight at squirrel woods and fence rows. It is a lever action rimfire with a 16.5 inch octagon blued barrel, an American walnut straight grip stock, and a large loop lever that clears a gloved hand in cold weather. At six pounds it carries easily all morning, and the short barrel keeps it from hanging up in brush. The tube magazine holds 10 rounds of 22 WMR and loads from the front the way Henry has always done it.

The sights are the interesting part. A Skinner peep sits on the rear and a brass bead rides the front, a faster and more precise combination than the buckhorn irons most rimfire lever guns wear. If you would rather run glass, the receiver is grooved 3/8 inch for rimfire rings. 22 WMR is the reason to pick this over a 22 LR version. It hits noticeably harder past 75 yards and stays useful on rabbits, squirrels, and a coyote that wanders too close. The receiver is black finished aluminum and a quarter cock hammer safety is standard.
