Henry H1 Sporter 22 WMR 18.5" 12rd Rifle

Henry took the rimfire lever gun and pointed it at the way people actually shoot today. The H1 Sporter has no iron sights at all. In their place is a Picatinny rail machined into the black aluminum receiver, so a scope or a red dot goes on straight and low. The 18.5" round blued barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for a suppressor or a brake, and capacity is 12 rounds of 22 WMR.

The stock is American walnut with a checkered pistol grip and a Monte Carlo comb, which puts the eye where a scope wants it rather than where a straight comb leaves it. At 5.35 lbs the rifle stays easy to carry along a fence line, and 22 WMR gives reach on groundhogs and coyotes that 22 LR cannot match. A lever gun is also a pleasure to run from a bench or a stand, because the cycle is short and the hand never leaves the grip. Henry fit and finish has always been a strong point, and here that work sits behind a modern optics setup instead of a buckhorn rear sight.
