Henry Frontier Pump Octagon 22 LR 20" 16rd Rifle

Henry's Frontier Pump Action Octagon is a throwback to the shooting gallery rifles of the old days, the kind a kid saved up quarters to shoot at the county fair. The slide action runs smoothly and quickly, and the blued 20 inch octagon barrel gives it the classic look that goes with it. It chambers 22 Short, 22 Long and 22 LR, so you can shoot whatever rimfire ammo you have on hand.

The tubular magazine holds 16 rounds of 22 LR and more of the shorter cartridges. Sights are a brass bead front and a fully adjustable Marbles semi buckhorn rear with a diamond insert, set in standard 3/8 inch dovetails so you can swap them if you like. The receiver is grooved for 3/8 inch rimfire scope rings, and a quarter cock hammer position serves as the safety. The stock and forend are American walnut. At 6 pounds and 38.5 inches long it is light enough for a young shooter to handle, and the pump action is easy to work from the shoulder. It does fine for plinking, rabbits and squirrels, and teaching a new shooter.
