Great Lakes Firearms GL15 223 Wylde 16" 10rd Tungsten CA Compliant Rifle

Tungsten is the gray in the middle of the GL15 color range, dark enough to look serious and light enough to show the lines of the rifle. Underneath the finish it is the same build as the rest of the family: a 16" stainless heavy barrel in 223 Wylde, a 15.25" aluminum handguard with a full Picatinny rail, carbine length gas, and aluminum upper and lower with M4 feed ramps. The muzzle carries 1/2-28 threads with a brake already installed.

223 Wylde is the argument for a rifle like this over a base carbine. The chamber was cut to run 5.56 NATO safely while holding the tighter throat that gives 223 Remington match ammunition its accuracy, so nobody has to choose between pressure margin and group size. Pair that with a heavy stainless barrel and the rifle earns whatever optic gets hung on it. The magazine is a 10rd California compliant unit, and the controls are standard AR, so spare parts and furniture come off any shelf.
