This is the plain black GL15, and it is the one most shooters end up wanting once the novelty of a colored receiver wears off. The specification matches its painted siblings: a 16" stainless heavy barrel in 223 Wylde, threaded 1/2-28 with a brake fitted, running off a carbine length gas system. The Wylde chamber is the whole point of the rifle. It feeds and fires both 223 Remington and 5.56 NATO without the accuracy penalty a loose 5.56 chamber brings or the pressure risk a tight 223 chamber creates.

The handguard is 15.25" of aluminum with a full Picatinny rail, long enough to reach nearly to the muzzle, which leaves room to run a bipod out front and still have rail left for a light. Upper and lower are aluminum with M4 feed ramps, and the grip is a standard AR polymer unit, so a change of furniture takes minutes. A 10rd magazine keeps the rifle California legal out of the box.
