Glock 17 V-Series 9mm 4.5" 17rd Ported RMR Cut Pistol

The Model 17 is the full size Glock, the pistol that started the polymer handgun era and still sets the reference point for a 9mm service gun. This V series build keeps the Gen5 exterior, an ambidextrous slide stop, a flared magwell, and a front strap with no finger grooves, over a redesigned internal package. Those internal parts are specific to the V series and will not swap with older generation Glocks, so plan spares accordingly rather than raiding a Gen3 parts bin.

The shop work on this one is a ported slide and barrel plus an RMR cut in the top of the slide. Porting bleeds gas up through the slide to hold the muzzle flatter between shots, which shows up most on a fast pair or a long string on steel. The optic cut takes the Trijicon RMR footprint directly, no adapter plate needed and no extra height added. Finish is black Cerakote. Three 17rd magazines are in the case. The 4.5" ported barrel matches the standard Model 17 length, and the full size grip still soaks up recoil better than anything shorter in the lineup. This is a range and home defense gun first, though it fits any holster cut for a Model 17.
