Glock 17 Gen6 9mm 4.49" 10rd Pistol

Gen6 is the biggest set of changes to the Glock frame in years. Glock measured a lot of hands and reshaped the grip around what they found: a palm swell that fills the middle of your hand, an enlarged beavertail that lets you ride the gun higher, and an extended textured thumb rest that gives your firing hand something to push against. The RTF6 texture now wraps more of the frame, including the thumb rest, and it grips without shredding a cover shirt.

The slide is new too. Serrations are angled deeper into the steel so wet or gloved hands still get purchase, the border around the slide stop lever is raised to keep you from bumping it under recoil, and the optic ready system is built into the slide rather than added on. The trigger face is flat now, which changes where your finger sits and makes the break easier to repeat. The 17 is the original full size Glock, 4.49 inch barrel, a duty gun before duty guns had marketing departments, and it still feeds anything. Three magazines come with the pistol, each holding 10 rounds. The SAFE ACTION system runs three passive safeties that release only when the trigger is pressed, so there is no manual lever to remember under stress.
