Franklin Armory M4 XTD 5.56 NATO 16" 30rd Rifle

The M4 XTD is a straightforward 5.56 NATO carbine from Franklin Armory with a few upgrades over a basic M4. The 16" M4 contour barrel has a 1:7 twist and is capped with Franklin's Triumvir muzzle device. A custom tuned trigger replaces the gritty mil spec pull most entry level ARs come with, while the standard mil spec safety selector keeps the manual of arms familiar.

The aluminum receivers are hard coat anodized and the flat top upper has no iron sights, so you can mount the red dot, prism or LPVO that suits you. The adjustable Magpul CTR stock locks up tight at every position and the Ergo Ambi SureGrip gives a textured, comfortable hold for either hand. At roughly 7 lbs and 31.5" overall, it handles well for home defense, carbine classes and general range work, and capacity is 30 rounds from a standard detachable box magazine.
