Faxon Firearms X-Tra Lite AR-15 Stripped Receiver Set Midnight Bronze

Faxon's X-Tra Lite receiver set is the starting point for a build where every ounce counts. Both halves start as forged aluminum and get trued in house, then run through Faxon's skeletonizing program and the X milling the brand is known for. The pair weighs 0.96 pounds with the ejection port door and cover installed, a little over two ounces under a standard forged set, and none of that weight comes out of the areas that carry load.

The upper has a honed inner bore so the bolt carrier runs smooth from the first round, a skeletonized Picatinny rail with hand engraved T marks for repeatable optic placement, and no forward assist, which is where a good share of the savings comes from. The lower takes standard AR-15 lower parts kits and buffer hardware. This set is finished in Midnight Bronze and works with the standard AR-15 intermediate cartridges. It is sold stripped, so the parts kits, trigger, buffer assembly and furniture are separate.
