Pietta GWII DLX Californian 357 Mag 4.75" 6rd Revolver

The Great Western II Californian became popular fast, so Pietta took what worked and dressed it up. The DLX Californian keeps the same gun underneath and adds a checkered walnut grip, a grip that used to be offered only on Pietta's custom series guns. The frame wears color case hardening and the barrel and cylinder are blued.

This model is chambered in 357 Magnum with a 4.75" barrel and a six round cylinder. The 4.75" length is the traditional belt gun configuration, quick to handle and easy to carry in a western rig. The checkering gives a more secure hold than smooth walnut when hands are wet or the stage clock is running. It is a single action with fixed sights and an exposed hammer, cocked by hand for each shot. If you want the Californian's function with a little more polish, this is the upgrade that makes sense without moving up to a fully engraved gun.
