Dickinson's Adam 1911 Ottaman is a full size 45 ACP built the traditional way. The frame and the barrel are both forged steel rather than cast or MIM parts, which is the single biggest thing separating a 1911 that holds up from one that does not. The slide is machined on CNC equipment to keep dimensions consistent from gun to gun, and it rides on the same rails John Browning laid out. Barrel length is the classic 5 inch Government pattern.

Feature wise it covers what most shooters want on a 1911 without running the price into custom shop territory. There is a beavertail grip safety to keep hammer bite off the hand and to help the gun sit lower in the grip, slide serrations for a positive purchase when clearing or press checking, and the single action trigger and thumb safety that define carrying a 1911.
