Daniel Defense DDM4 V1 5.56 NATO 16" 32rd Rifle

The DDM4 V1 is the original Daniel Defense rifle and it is still the plainest statement of what the company does. A 16" cold hammer forged M4 profile barrel runs a carbine length gas system, the muzzle is threaded 1/2-28 for a brake, flash hider or suppressor mount, and the front sight base is machined from a solid billet of steel rather than cast. Nothing about the build is exotic. It is a standard length carbine put together from parts that were made to tighter tolerances than most.

The 12" rail gives you a long, continuous top rail for irons and a magnified optic, plus room underneath for a light and a sling mount. The rifle comes with one 32 round magazine, so it is ready to go once you add sights. This is the carbine people buy when they want one AR that will be shot a lot and not argued with: duty weight barrel, conventional gas length, black furniture, and a parts layout that any armorer or any shop on the road already understands.
