Dan Wesson Valor 45 ACP 5" 8rd Pistol

The Valor has long been Dan Wesson's flagship 1911, and the updated version keeps the stainless steel slide and frame while adding modern touches. It is chambered in 45 ACP with a 5 inch barrel and an 8 round magazine, finished in black Duty Coat over stainless. The frame carries a Picatinny rail and a beavertail grip safety.

A Stan Chen SI magwell speeds reloads, and tapered gray G10 grips thin out the grip without losing traction. The top of the slide has an inverted rib with inset serrations that kill glare between the sights, a serrated U-notch rear and a tritium front with a large orange ring. GI style rear cocking serrations keep the classic 1911 lines. The updated slide stop is recessed so laser grip panels fit, and the ambidextrous thumb safety serves right and left handed shooters alike. At 39.7 ounces the Valor sits heavy and flat in recoil, which is exactly what a 45 ACP single action 1911 should do for home defense or duty use.
