About the CVA Scout TD 6.5
The Scout TD is CVA's takedown single shot rifle. The barrel separates from the receiver, so the whole gun breaks down into a pack or a short case for a flight, a horseback ride, or a long walk into back country where a full length rifle gets in the way. There is no magazine and no bolt to run. Drop a 6.5 Creedmoor round in, close the action, cock the hammer, and take the shot you meant to take. Hunters who grew up on break action guns know the discipline that comes with one round.
The 22" barrel and receiver are stainless steel under a Flat Dark Earth finish, and the synthetic stock carries a duck camo pattern, so the rifle already blends into a marsh or a cut field without tape or wrap. The muzzle is threaded 5/8-24 for a brake or a can, and the receiver comes with a Picatinny rail already fitted, which is the right call on a break action because there are no iron sights to fall back on. At roughly 6.5 pounds it carries all day, and 6.5 Creedmoor gives up nothing on the one shot you get.
