Colt, 1911 Competition Pistol, .38 Super, 5 in, 9 Rounds, Blued

The Colt 1911 Competition Pistol 38 Super 5" Blued 9 rd. is a classic Colt 1911 platform built for shooters who want the control and accuracy of a competition-grade semi auto handgun, and it brings the long-established 1911 single-action ergonomics to the 38 Super chambering for fast, flat-shooting performance; with a 5-inch barrel and a deep blued finish, this model in Colt's competition lineage offers the sight radius and ballistic efficiency that practical target shooters, IPSC/USPSA competitors, and experienced range enthusiasts value. The controls are familiar to anyone who shoots the 1911 series, letting you run rapid strings with predictable recoil impulse and follow-up shot speed, while a crisp single-action-style trigger and the weight distribution of the full-size frame aid in steadiness for longer strings and precision work. As a semi auto handgun intended for the range and match use, it requires FFL transfer for purchase (FFL required: Yes), and its metal construction and traditional styling also make it a comfortable choice for serious collectors who appreciate Colt's competition variants. If you're looking to step into competitive pistol shooting or want a refined target pistol rooted in the 1911 heritage, this Colt Competition 38 Super melds performance, familiarity, and timeless design.
