About this product
The Colt Gold Cup has been the company's target 1911 since the late 1950s, made so competitors could take a pistol straight from the dealer's case to the firing line. This Gold Cup National Match is chambered in 38 Super, with a 5" National Match barrel and a blued steel slide and frame. The magazine holds 9 rounds.
It runs the Series 70 firing system and comes with the refinements match shooters want as standard: a wide adjustable aluminum trigger, a dovetail post front sight and a fully adjustable Bomar style rear sight. Checkered wood grips and a serrated slide finish it. The 38 Super is a flat shooting, mild recoiling round, which is why it has long been a favorite in action pistol and bullseye competition. The single action trigger and long sight radius reward careful shooting, and Gold Cup pistols have competed everywhere from local club matches to the National Matches at Camp Perry. One magazine is included.
