Christensen Arms Evoke Mossy Oak 7mm Backcountry 16.25" 4rd FDE Rifle

7mm Backcountry was built so that short barrels stop being a compromise. Federal's high pressure case lets a 16.25" barrel produce velocity that used to require a rifle most of a foot longer, which is the entire argument for this configuration. Thread a suppressor onto the 5/8-24 muzzle and the overall length still lands in normal rifle territory instead of turning the gun into a pole you have to wrestle through timber.

Christensen wraps that barrel in flat dark earth Cerakote over stainless, button rifled and hand lapped, free floated the whole way to the receiver. A removable six port RFR brake covers the threads until a can takes its place. The stock is Mossy Oak Bottomland, the receiver is drilled and tapped, and the forend has integrated Picatinny rail for a bipod. TriggerTech supplies the trigger and the owner can adjust it. A 4rd detachable magazine feeds the rifle. This is the short barrel option in the Evoke lineup, and the combination of a compact barrel, a modern high pressure cartridge and a sub-MOA guarantee points straight at hunters who carry a suppressed rifle in thick country or on horseback.
