About this product

The Browning BAR MK4 Hunter in 243 Winchester is a semi-auto rifle built for hunters who demand repeatable performance and field-ready ergonomics, featuring a 22" fluted, matte blued barrel with a 1:12" twist and a matte blued, aluminum alloy drilled-and-tapped receiver for optics mounting; the Grade II Turkish oiled walnut stock includes shim adjustments for cast on/off and comb drop to dial in cheek weld for scoped shooting, while the Inflex recoil pad and action bar/inertia block connection tame felt recoil and reduce barrel vibrations for tighter groups shot after shot. With a 4+1 capacity and an overall length of 43.38" at a hair over 7 lbs, this BAR MK4 Hunter balances handling for stalks in timber or long glassing sits in open country, and the semi-auto action feeds reliably on follow-up shots when an ethical, quick second shot is required on whitetail or predator opportunities. The drilled-and-tapped receiver accepts low-profile mounts for your favorite optics, the fluted barrel sheds weight without sacrificing rigidity, and the refined stock geometry aids fast target acquisition, making this Browning rifle a sensible choice for hunters seeking classic styling, modern features, and the lineage of John M. Browning's original design; FFL transfer required.
