Browning BAR MK4 Hunter 243 Win 22" 4rd Mossy Oak Bottomland Rifle

Mossy Oak Bottomland is the oldest pattern Mossy Oak makes and it still works, which is why Browning wraps a BAR MK4 Hunter in it. This one is chambered in 243 Win with a 22" fluted barrel and an aluminum alloy receiver, both in a non reflective matte blued finish so the metal is not throwing light while the stock is doing its job. The magazine holds four rounds, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope mount.

The stock is a weather resistant composite with overmolded gripping panels, a raised SoftFlex cheekpad and shim adjustment for cast and comb drop. 243 Win in an autoloader is an easy rifle to hand to a smaller framed or recoil shy hunter without giving up much: it is flat enough for open country, it kills deer and antelope cleanly with the right bullet, and it doubles as a coyote rifle the rest of the year.
