New Glock Arrivals: V-Series Optic Packages and the 43X Rail
by Shooting Surplus

Seven Glock 9mm pistols just landed
Seven Glock pistols went live and in stock on our shelves over the past two weeks. Six of them are V-Series guns, most of them sold with an optic already on the slide, and the seventh is a railed 43X. All seven are 9mm. Here is the group, sorted by what each one is set up for. Every one of these is a firearm, so it ships to the licensed dealer (FFL) you pick at checkout. If you have not bought a gun online before, our walkthrough covers the whole process.
V-Series with a Vortex Defender optic
Three V-Series frame sizes come packaged with a Vortex Defender optic mounted. The V-Series 17 is the full-size gun, with a 4.5-inch barrel and a 17-round magazine. It is the one to pick for the range, home defense or duty-style carry where size is not a problem.
The V-Series 19 trims the barrel to 4.02 inches and the magazine to 15 rounds. That is the compact size most Glock buyers settle on when one gun has to do everything.
The V-Series 45 splits the difference: a 3.7-inch barrel on a frame that takes the 17-round magazine. Shorter slide, full grip, same optic package.

V-Series with a Viridian RFX35
The same two larger frames also come paired with Viridian's RFX35. The V-Series 17 with the RFX35 keeps the 4.5-inch barrel and 17-round capacity. The V-Series 45 with the RFX35 is the 3.7-inch-barrel, 17-round version. If you already run Viridian gear or prefer its mounting footprint, these are the two to look at. Either way you are buying a pistol with the sight fitted at the factory, not sourcing a plate and dot yourself.

V-Series 19 FDE Ported
One V-Series 19 in this batch comes without an optic package and with two things the others do not have: a Flat Dark Earth finish and a ported barrel. The listing puts the barrel at 4 inches with a 15-round magazine. Porting vents gas upward at the muzzle to help hold the sights flat between shots, which is the appeal for anyone who shoots fast strings. It is the only non-black gun in the group.

Glock 43X with a rail
The one non-V-Series arrival is the Glock 43X Rail, the slimline carry gun with a 3.41-inch barrel and an accessory rail for a light or laser. This listing ships with a 15-round magazine. It is the smallest and lightest pistol here and the obvious choice for everyday carry, and it is the deepest in stock of the seven.
Which one to pick
- Range, home defense, open carry: V-Series 17, with the Vortex Defender or the Viridian RFX35.
- One gun for everything: V-Series 19 with the Vortex Defender, or the FDE Ported if you want the vented barrel.
- Full grip, shorter slide: V-Series 45 in either optic package.
- Concealed carry: Glock 43X Rail.
Stock on the V-Series guns is in the dozens per model as of this writing, so if one fits, do not wait for a restock. Live pricing and availability are on each product card below.
