About the BCM MK2 Recoil Mitigation
The BCM MK2 Recoil Mitigation System is a complete buffer kit for AR pattern rifles, aimed at softer felt recoil without giving up reliability. The Mod 1 T2 buffer weighs about 5.6 oz and has more internal counterweight travel to reduce bolt bounce, plus an internal spring that quiets the weight and keeps it seated consistently.
It uses a mil-spec M16A4 rifle action spring, which has more coils than an M4 carbine spring, inside a BCM MK2 receiver extension with 8 positions and a mil-spec diameter. The kit also includes a castle lock nut and a QD end plate. The MK2 extension runs about 3/4 inch longer than a carbine tube, so some mil-spec stocks will not collapse all the way to the lock nut.
