Auto-Ordnance M1 30 Carbine 18" 10rd CA Compliant Rifle

The Auto-Ordnance M1 Carbine is a reproduction of the light rifle that served American forces from World War II onward. It is built from newly manufactured parts on modern computerized machinery, chambered in the original 30 Carbine cartridge, and fitted with an 18" barrel. The receiver and barrel are Parkerized steel, and the stock and handguard are American walnut, so it looks the part next to a vintage GI carbine.

This is the California compliant version, and it comes with one 10 round stick magazine. Sights are a blade front with a flip style rear, the same arrangement the originals carried. The trigger is single stage and the safety is a crossbolt. At 5.4 lbs and 35.75" overall it is light and handy, and the 30 Carbine round is mild enough for an afternoon of plinking without a sore shoulder. The receiver is marked Auto-Ordnance behind the rear sight and U.S. Carbine Cal. 30 in front of the bolt, with the serial number engraved on the left side. For collectors and WWII fans who want an M1 they can shoot without wearing out a surplus original, this one checks the boxes.
