Auto-Ordnance 1911 Tanker 45 ACP 5" 7rd ODG Pistol

"Built like a tank" fits the 1911 as well as it fits the M4 Sherman, and the Auto-Ordnance Tanker 1911 leans into that. It is part of the company's series of WWII commemorative guns, dedicated to the American tank crews who fought in steel chariots like the Sherman. The slide and frame are Cerakoted in Army OD Green, and the white star from the Sherman's hull is engraved on both the slide and the frame.

Underneath the paint it is an all steel GI style 1911 with a 5" barrel chambered in 45 ACP. The sights, trigger, grip safety and controls are the classic GI pattern, with a blade front and a rear sight that drifts for windage. The checkered wood grips are engraved with the U.S. logo. It has a manual thumb safety and a serrated slide, weighs about 39 oz, and comes with one 7 round magazine. It is a full size single action 45 that shoots like any GI 1911, and the green and white treatment makes it an easy pick for anyone who collects WWII armor or has a tanker in the family. It honors the American tank crews of World War II.
