Akkar Open Country 12 GA 28" Shotgun

The Akkar Open Country is an over under shotgun line from Akkar USA, and this is the 12 gauge model with 28" barrels chambered for 3" shells. Twelve gauge covers the widest range of loads of any shotgun, from light target shells for clays to heavier field loads for pheasants and waterfowl, and five choke tubes are included to match the pattern to the job.

Automatic ejectors kick spent hulls clear when you open the action, which speeds up reloading in the field and on the station. A tang mounted safety doubles as the barrel selector, so you choose which barrel fires first with your thumb. The stock and forend are Turkish walnut, and the metal wears Akkar's OxyCap finish. Twenty eight inch barrels give a smooth, steady swing that suits sporting clays and upland hunting equally well, making the Open Country a solid one gun answer for a shooter who wants a stacked double. The blued barrels carry a 7mm flat rib, and the ejectors can be converted to plain extractors by changing one part.
