Stevens 555 Sporting Compact 12 GA 26" Shotgun

The Stevens 555 Sporting Compact brings a clays ready over under to shooters who need a shorter, lighter gun. It is a 12 GA with 3" chambers and 26" chrome lined barrels that are ported to cut muzzle rise and felt recoil. A raised ventilated rib carries a mid bead and a fiber optic front sight for a quick, consistent sight picture on crossing and rising targets. Five extended choke tubes are included: Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full.

The receiver is lightweight aluminum alloy, scaled to the gauge and reinforced with a steel breech insert, and it wears an engraved silver finish. Total weight is just 5.3 lbs. The Turkish walnut stock and forend are checkered, and the adjustable comb lets you raise the cheek rest so your eye lines up with the rib. A single selective mechanical trigger lets you pick which barrel fires first, and the safety is on the tang where either hand can reach it. Manual extractors lift the hulls for easy pickup. It is a strong fit for smaller framed shooters on the sporting clays course, in a trap league or in the uplands.
