The Sidewinder is our premium handheld observational thermal monocular series. All models come equipped with either a 384288 or 640512 twelve micron infrared detector and a 1024768 OLED display for improved color rendering. The Sidewinder thermal sensors also come equipped with the most sensitive temperature ratings in its class coming in at sub-20 millikelvin across the entire product family. Other improvements over the Taipan monoculars include a more robust body/housing and a removable rechargeable 18650 battery. These units also boast an impressive waterproof rating which ensures users have peace of mind while utilizing these under the vast majority of weather conditions. The Sidewinders built-in 64 GB memory also sits at the top of its class on the market with advanced software supporting both video recording and image capturing.
