Armasight Sidekick 640 Pro 1-4x19mm Thermal Monocular

The Sidekick 640 Pro is a pocket sized thermal monocular built for scanning rather than shooting. An ArmaCORE 640 sensor with 12 micron pixels runs at 60Hz, which is what keeps a pan across a field looking smooth instead of smeared, and the 1920x1080 OLED display shows the image with more resolution than the sensor alone would suggest.

Optical magnification is 1x with digital zoom out to 4x, and the 19mm lens keeps the field wide for picking movement out of a treeline. Two rechargeable cells give about five and a half hours, and running one cell for a short walk is an option when weight matters. It weighs about nine ounces, so it rides in a coat pocket without pulling on it, and a mini rail on the body accepts a helmet mount for hands free use.
