Winchester Model 70 Extreme Tungsten 6.5 CM 22" 4rd Rifle

Winchester built the Model 70 Extreme Tungsten for hunters who stay out when the forecast turns ugly. A Tungsten Cerakote finish covers the receiver and barrel to fight rust and wear, and the Bell and Carlson synthetic stock, finished in textured charcoal gray with a sculpted cheekpiece, stays stable in rain and snow.

This 6.5 Creedmoor version has a 22 inch free floating, fluted barrel with a muzzle brake on 9/16-24 threads. Recoil from the 6.5 Creedmoor is mild to begin with, and the brake keeps the sight picture steady so you can spot your own hits. Inside is the Model 70 action with Pre-'64 style controlled round feed, the three position safety, and the M.O.A. Trigger System. The internal magazine holds 4 rounds and unloads through a hinged floorplate. A jeweled bolt, a Pachmayr Decelerator pad and sling swivel studs round it out. At about 6.75 lbs, it is light enough to carry all day on deer, pronghorn and sheep hunts, and the short action cycles quickly for a follow up shot.
