About this product

The Winchester Model 1873 Short Rifle brings classic lever-action handling to modern shooters, chambered for both .38 Special and .357 Magnum with a 10+1 tubular capacity and a 20" brushed polish sporter barrel that balances velocity and maneuverability for hunting, ranch work, and range days; the blued receiver and barrel with satin-oiled Grade I walnut fixed straight grip stock deliver that vintage look and solid handling while a 13" length of pull, 39" overall length and 7 lb 4 oz weight make it comfortable in the field or on horseback. The Model 1873 series is renowned for rugged, reliable lever operation and this Short Rifle continues that legacy with a polished chamber, steel receiver and full-length tube magazine, an 18 3/4" twist for stable bullet flight, adjustable rear sight for practical accuracy, and a crescent metal recoil pad for shooter comfort. Built for hunters, cowboys, and lever-action enthusiasts, this Winchester requires FFL transfer and is suited to rounds from light .38 loads to hot .357 hunting loads.
