Winchester Model 94 Sporter 38-55 Win 24" 8rd Rifle

The Winchester Model 94 Sporter is a traditional lever action in 38-55 Win, a cartridge with a long record on deer and black bear. The straight grip walnut stock has a satin finish with bordered cut checkering, a blued steel forearm cap and a blued crescent buttplate. The 24 inch barrel is half round and half octagon, button rifled and triple checked for accuracy, and it gives the rifle the look of the early Model 94s.

Round locking bolt trunnions give a smooth, quick lever throw, and the lever edges are radiused to protect your fingers. A steel loading gate and an articulated cartridge stop help it feed cartridges without damaging them. The top tang safety is easy to see and use, and the rebounding hammer adds a margin of safety. The hammer is drilled and tapped for the included knurled hammer spur extension, which helps with cocking when a scope is mounted, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. Sights are a Marble Arms front and an adjustable semi buckhorn rear. The tube magazine holds 8 rounds. It weighs about 7.5 lbs and measures 42.5 inches overall, handy in the woods and steady offhand.
