Heckler & Koch VP9A1 K 9mm 4.09" 15rd Pistol

The VP9A1 K is the first true compact in the VP series. It has a roughly 4 inch barrel (4.09") and a shorter frame, and it sits between a full size duty gun and a subcompact carry pistol. The slide is cut for an optic, and the pistol holds 15 rounds with two magazines included. Law enforcement agencies that adopted the VP9 reported big gains in qualification scores, and the A1 updates build on that.

Those updates focus on the parts your hands touch. The trigger is an improved nickel Teflon coated design. The grip adjusts for length of pull and fit with the included interchangeable backstraps and side panels. The magwell is flared, the magazine release is a paddle style, and the base plates have a recess cut for easier removal. The controls are ambidextrous, a serrated patch on the frame gives a tactile reference point, and the frame has a Picatinny rail. Sights are a high visibility tritium front with a black serrated rear. The action is striker fired with a polymer frame and a hammer forged barrel with polygonal rifling.
