Tisas 1911A1 Tank Commander 9mm 4.25" 9rd Walnut Pistol

The Tank Commander is Tisas' Commander sized 1911 in 9mm, built on a forged carbon steel full size frame with a forged 4.25 inch slide and barrel on top. That combination, a shorter slide over a standard length grip, has been a favorite carry setup since the 1950s because it trims muzzle weight without giving up magazine capacity or a full firing grip. The finish is a US GI style Cerakote and the grips are walnut, which keeps the military look intact while the internals stay Series 70 simple.

Small updates separate it from a straight surplus copy. The mainspring housing is flat, the front and rear sights use an updated design that is easier to pick up than GI nubs, and the pistol weighs a hair over two pounds unloaded. In 9mm the recoil impulse is soft enough for long practice sessions without beating up the shooter's hands. Each pistol includes two magazines, a cleaning kit, an owner's manual and a waterproof lockable hard case with cut foam.
