Tisas 1911A1 Service 9mm 5" Pistol

The 1911A1 Service is Tisas at its most straightforward: a full size 9mm 1911 with a 5 inch stainless steel barrel and a carbon steel slide and frame finished in black Cerakote. Slide serrations give a positive purchase for press checks and clearing, and a beavertail grip safety is fitted so a high grip does not put the web of your hand in front of the hammer. Two magazines come in the box.

Nine millimeter in a full size steel 1911 is one of the softest shooting combinations in centerfire handgunning. The frame weight soaks up what little recoil the cartridge makes, and the single action trigger that made the platform famous is still the best argument for buying one. Sights are the traditional iron setup and the controls sit exactly where a century of muscle memory expects them.
